Frequently Asked Questions
How old does my child need to be?
For our 2024 Camp we are taking registrations for children born between 2012-2018 only.
How do drop off’s and pick up work?
Similar to other hockey schools, we have a staggered drop-off and pick up schedule which varies with each age group. Ice Times are consistent each day for our campers. This helps avoid congestion during Drop off and Pick Up times.
In 2023 our youngest group’s drop off time was 7:45 (fully dressed in gear) and the pick up time was 3:00pm after their last icetime.
Our oldest group started at 10:00am, and ended the day after our last icetime finishing up at 6:00pm.
As camp gets closer, all registered families will be sent their schedule with this important information.
I have 2 children and would like to drop them off at the same time. Can I?
Unfortunately we cannot support or be responsible for children that are dropped off early or need to stay late.
We encourage you to make other arrangements with friends and family. Staff at Cole Harbour Hockey School are only responsible for your children within our posted times and schedule that you will be sent 2 weeks before camp.
What if my child becomes sick or injured while at camp?
Your child’s health and safety is our top priority at Cole Harbour Hockey School. A healthy camper is a happy camper. While we understand that illness and injury may happen, rest assured that your child will be cared for promptly and professionally and you will be immediately contacted.
If your child is not feeling well or has sustained an injury, they will be seen by a member of our staff. Most times symptoms of not feeling well can be easily assessed and remedied with rest, food, hydration, and some TLC.
If your child needs something beyond that, our team will evaluate your child to decide the next best course of action. The plan of care from this point on will be on an individual basis and a parent will be contacted and informed of the assessment. In some more extreme cases the parent will be required to come pick up the camper.
Can I come and visit during the day?
Parents, friends and family are able to watch on-ice activities, but we encourage you to avoid following children around during the other activities so that they can enjoy time with friends and so that our group leaders can have fun and create lasting memories
What happens on Check-in?
Players and parents will be greeted upon arrival and once checked in, players can proceed (accompanied by staff) to their dressing rooms where they will meet their group leaders and begin activities each day.

Will There be NHL Guests at the Camp?
Our priority of the Cole Harbour Hockey School is having a fun, safe week of hockey development and creating lasting memories with existing and new friends. Everything else is a bonus!
We've been fortunate to have some special guests in the past, but we make no guarantees or promises of guests. We want to manage expectations as we don’t want our campers disappointed if their favourite NHLer doesn’t show up.
Is there a waiting list?
After registration opens and if we run out of spots interested families can join our waiting lists by clicking here, Please let us know your child’s name and birth year. We will contact you if a spot opens up.
Is there a lost and found at Cole Harbour Hockey School.
Yes! It will be located in the lobby where we have drop off and pick up. Please label all your CHHS clothing and hats as a lot of our campers will have the same clothing and we want to make sure campers don’t lose any items.
